There is a fix in the article which I am going to try. This will then restore Windows ME: Click on Start then Programs then Accessories then System Tools and then select System Restore. It just seem to occur without any specific cause. you will loose files but youre pc will be restore to manufacturer setup.

When I called ATT support for help this afternoon (I have ATT Uverse for my internet/tv service), they had me run a similar set of commands.
