I've found this forum extremely helpful in the past and not had to post my own problem before, but now I'm seriously stuck. If at any time during the Recovery Console installation you receive a message stating that it failed to install, please allow ComboFix to continue with the scan of your computer. On restart, none of my programs will run. For instance, running HijackThis on a 64-bit machine may show log entries which indicate (file missing) when that is NOT always the case.
