This didn't work on it's own, we also had to disable the "Do not store encrypted pages to disk" setting. We also tried all the solutions you said without luck, but analyzing the http response we saw that the application server added no-cache= "Set-Cookie" http header automatically and it disabled IE8 Additionally, if you include a Pragma: no-cache header, the secure response will not be cached regardless of other headers. Fiddler If I go to our download page (http://www.aesc-inc.com/download/SPC/ ) and click the link, it works just fine.
Using Firefox is not a solution for us.
